Where were you before you started at U Fit Studio?

I was hurtling towards 50 years of age, I was 2-3 stone overweight and felt like I'd been on a diet since I was 14 years old. I'd repeated a pattern of successfully losing some weight but then putting it back on for years.

What was your turning point that you decided to take action?

I had a mantra of "I can't be fat at 50". I felt much older than I was and passed off daily aches and pains as 'just age'. I wanted more from my 'silver years'!

What happened when you joined U Fit Studio? What surprised you?

I learnt a lot! Some of it quite technical about nutrition, physiology, technique etc. I thought I was quite well informed having been on so many different diet and exercise programmes, turns out most of it was codswallop! So I'm surprised how much nonsense there is out there but also I was also surprised how interested I was in it all.

What are some of the biggest changes you've noticed during your membership?

I actually enjoy coming to the gym. This is a first for me! I don't always look forward to going but I'm always glad I did and the mood boost I get from it is amazing!

How do you feel now?

Fantastic!! I really feel like the changes in me are all for the better and more importantly are sustainable. I don't dread going to events, or clothes shopping. I'm really proud of myself. All the aches and pains I put down to 'Just my age' have all gone and I have loads more energy than ever.
