Stopping eating bread

It is time for another U Fit Blog from Coach Helen Gribble! We hope you enjoy it and, as always, comment below with any questions or insights!

A piece of toast was always a quick 'go to' for me for snacking…I loved toast, and I mean loved. I had many different variations of toppings, and they would all include at least three slices. It was the ultimate snack for me, quick and easy…no muss, no fuss.

Joining U Fit was a means for me to learn so much about myself and part of that learning was understanding how my body felt after some foods.
I had spent so many years eating toast, or in fact, bread that I had stopped noticing how my body felt.

My coach helped teach me to dial into what happened to my body after some foods. He helped me realise that bread was making me feel bloated and sluggish. While I knew I would find it difficult, I also knew that I had to take the toast out of my life.

I found it challenging, and I went through days of really craving marmite on toast (don't judge!) 😊

As soon as I stopped eating bread I noticed that the bloating disappeared, and I felt better, less sluggish.
I had learnt that while some foods are quick and easy, they're not so easy on my body.
