When looking at your plate what colour are your fruit and vegetables? Is green your favourite colour, or do you like to diversify?

There are lots of benefits to choosing a wide range of coloured vegetables for your meals. There's the colour of the rainbow to choose from and each one has different nutrients to offer the offer your body.

Examples of the rainbow are:

  • ØGreen – Broccoli, spinach, kale, green beans.
  • ØRed – Tomatoes, red cabbage, watermelon, cherries.
  • ØOrange – Sweet potato, pineapple, pumpkin, carrots.
  • ØWhite - Onions, parsnip, garlic, coconut.
  • ØPurple – Grapes, aubergine, blueberries, blackberries.

To ensure that your body gets the best out of your food aim to change up the colour palate of your meals and taste the rainbow!
