 When I joined U Fit Studio, my knowledge of resistance and strength training was non-existent. The closest I'd come to touching a weight was at a commercial gym, as in touched then ran away!

I had always liked the idea of being able to lift weights; it had always stayed as an idea and not become a reality.

Having my first couple of training sessions was like having a door opened to me, a door that I hadn't thought was possible. Not only could I touch weights…I could lift them. ☺

Every session taught me something new, either a new exercise or a way of adjusting what I was doing to make it better. As the months passed my knowledge grew and grew, and before long I had a catalogue of exercises that I could perform with a variety of weights.

The idea of lifting weights and being stronger was no longer an idea: it was real and one that I continue to build on.
