How often do you get stuck in a rut in the kitchen?

Each week is a rotation of the foods that you know how to cook. They're easy, they're comfortable, and they're repetitive. Before long it's as predictable as the UK summer, and you're bored.

So, what can be done?

•Start to look online for inspiration – the internet is awash with great ideas to suit all tastes.

•Invest in a cookbook – get ideas of flavours and foods that you might want to try out.

•Talk to others – reach out and let people know you're struggling for ideas. You'll be surprised at how many people will lend a hand.

•Go create – if you're feeling confident make your kitchen your creative space and make something new.

Climb out of the rut and make your meals less predictable…☺
