Food Diary

It is time for another U Fit Blog from Coach Helen Gribble! We hope you enjoy it and, as always, comment below with any questions or insights!

I'd been at U Fit for a few months and had been religiously filling out my food journal. Taking care to get every detail down, making sure I didn't miss a thing. I made sure every meal was noted and captured…I loved the attention to detail.

It started small. In the rush of my day I realised that I had missed recording one meal…then it was two…before long I'd not completed a weeks diary. I couldn't remember anything I had eaten!! ☹

When I sat down with my coach, I realised why it was so important. Sure, we had lots to talk about; the challenge was that he couldn't give me pointers on where I could make changes.

We discussed why filling out the food diary was crucial, how it helped us explore different ways to change my choices to get better results. By letting my habit slip, I had let go of the information that we needed to discuss.

I knew I had to get back on track and get back to getting everything recorded. I went back to my original goal, thought about what I wanted to achieve and why.

Every time I got busy and my thoughts turned away from my diary I thought about my goal, brought it back into focus.

My next one to one discussion with my coach was completely differentI left feeling more confident and happy to be back on track. 😊
