I had been to a few gyms in my lifetime, muddling my way through exercises that I'd either seen on YouTube or by copying other people in the gym. To be honest, I didn't have a clue what I was doing; I just knew that I was doing 'something', and that was better than nothing.
When I joined U Fit, I was quietly confident that I'd practised my moves enough to be able to wing it through.
After my first session, I realised that there was no way I was going to carry on the way that I had been. My coaches could see that my technique was all kinds of wrong.
Through re-positioning me and teaching me why it was important to correct myself, the coaches took me back to basics, taught me how to work out correctly. From how my body reacted I knew that I was finally doing it correctly and that I had made a mistake in copying others.
I'm grateful that through being at U Fit I have been able to reset and start again, and continue to learn. ☺
